I wanna give kudos to the PG people, I thought it was a great addition to the LAN that I wasn't expecting, and it kinda brought everyone together a bit and provided lots of lols.
I don't really get the argument that it 'took away form the other games'. Surely people will play whatever they want to play. If they want to play GGG over a big game then let them- don't force them to play the big games instead by taking away the projector games. Maybe organise the times of the big games a bit better or something- at the start of the LAN, people will be intrigued by the projector games, then maybe they will be more interested in the big games later on in the event. There is room for both.
I wouldn't want it moved to the other room though, part of the fun is just looking up from your monitor and watching someones machine fail in a variety of different ways.
Big praise to GGG, I used to make little indie games myself and I know how much work goes into making something like that- probably more than most gamers realise. With a few tweaks, bugs fixed and a graphical overhaul, I think GoGo Gadget could achieve excellence.
