OK, these may look a little long. However we believe that these could lead to a very interesting game
As these are still provisional, we've open to any feedback that you might have. So let us know how they seem to you!
LeachLAN - Assassination Rules
I. General Rules
A. Every Assassin will receive a target from a pool of "targets". Details on the target will be distributed in such a way that they cannot be destroyed. Details of the targets will also be retained by the Game Masters.
B. Assassins should ONLY kill their specified target and try to have as few witnesses as possible.Stealth is your friend!
C. For a kill to register, you must attack your target with a valid weapon in an area that is not a safe zone. You must then present the Game Masters with kill confirmation, where you will be reassigned to your deceased enemy's target.
D. Assassinations may not be made from IN or FROM a safe zone.
E. The game continues until only one Assassin remains.
F. Work hard, play harder! No kills may be made during the hours of 11PM - 9AM.
G. You must not reveal to anyone who your target is.
H. Two Game Masters will exist for the entirety of the game, their decision is final!
I. Disarmament: When an assassin spots another Assassin and their weapon in public view. They may use this rule by shouting "ASSASSIN'S NAME, YOU ARE DISARMED". Loud enough so that the opposing assassin can see and hear it, pointing in their direction will also help you here. If you are disarmed, you will be unable to make an attack for another 30 minutes.
Example: Dave is attempting to kill Ben, but Ben spots the incoming attack as Dave has left his weapon unsheathed. Ben may shout "DAVE, YOU ARE DISARMED". Dave will not be able to attack Ben again for another thirty minutes.
J. Counterstrike: When you are being attacked (AND ONLY WHEN) a target may counterattack and attempt to foil your attack. The only way to do this is by dodging your attack, and killing you before you can try and attack again. So, instead of being killed you have dodged their attack and killed your attacker.
You may only counterattack within two minutes of you being attacked.
II. Weaponry
All weaponry will be provided by the Game Masters. Weaponry for this game is still TBA - feel free to give us some amusing ideas
A. Melee
1. You can only kill with a knife in the head, neck or torso. If you attack in a non-lethal area, your attack fails.
2. If a knife attack is made in the head or neck, the target is immediately killed. However if you attack the torso, you must stab you target a minimum of three times in quick succession.
B. Ranged
1. To kill with a ranged weapon, you must attack your targets neck or torso. Headshots do not count.
2. You may fire as many times as you like, unless you are spotted or miss and are counterattacked. In which case your attack is a failure and could result in your own death.
III. Weapon Security
A. You must keep you weapons secured and concealed at all times.
B. If your weapon is spotted at any time by a game master, other than during an attack. They may put a "bounty" on your head.
IV. Bounties
A. Bounties can be put on an assassins head at any time, if they fail to secure their weapon correctly.
B. If a bounty is put on an assassins head, a "Wanted Poster" will be on shown in various places at the event.
C. The bounty hunter who gets the kill will be suitably rewarded for their efforts.
D. A player who has a bounty on their head will be able to counter-attack or defend themselves at any time.
V. Freelancing
A. Freelancing for other players is strictly prohibited.
B. If one Assassin is clearly dominating the game, the game masters may choose to hire some Freelancers to go after this Assassin. These Freelancers will be made up purely from failed and therefore dead Assassins.
C. Once again, a player who is targeted by freelancers will be able to counter-attack or defend themselves at any time.
D. A player who has been targeted by freelancers, WILL NOT be informed. - Keep your whit about you!
Safe Zones
A. Inside the sleeping areas and inside tents.
B. Inside the toilet and showers areas.
C. When someone is sat down and wearing their headset at THEIR OWN computer.
D. The entire staff area.
Anywhere else is fair game.
